General Taizo Terashima (寺島 泰三) is a former Japanese career military officer who served in multiple senior posts in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) including Chief of Staff, Ground Self-Defense Force and Chairman of the Joint Staff Council. After his retirement Terashima became chairman of the Japan Friendship Association [ja], a veterans association and chairman of the Society to Respond to Heroic Spirits [ja] which commerates Japanese war dead. He was also a member of Nippon Kaigi, a Japanese Far-Right nationalist political lobbying group.
