English: Early 1930s photograph of Gladys Carlyon De Courcy Misick Morrell's Bermuda cedar table is confiscated by Police Sergeant Henderson, Bermuda Police Force at Cavello Hill, 6 East Shore Road, Somerset, Sandys MA02, Bermuda, due to non-payment of parish taxes in protest for women's suffrage. Other activists shown included Thalia Misick (Morrell's mother, at the far left of the photograph), Henrietta Tucker (behind Morrell's right shoulder), and Caroline Smith.[1] [2] |
