Summary
This view of the lunar peak Mons La Hire was taken from Apollo 15. Note the sinuous rille near the right edge.
The picture was cropped from the original image, then rotated 90° counter-clockwise so that north is toward the top edge. The original image was taken during the Apollo 15 mapping metric sequence, revolution 44. The selenographic coordinates of the image were 25.5° N, 24.0° W
