The River Trent is one of the major rivers of England. Its source is in Staffordshire on the southern edge of the Pennines near Biddulph Moor. It then flows in an arc through the Midlands The river passes through Stoke-on-Trent, Burton-upon-Trent and Nottingham before joining the River Ouse at Trent Falls to form the Humber Estuary, which in turn flows into the North Sea.
