An interesting subject to ponder is how virtual communities model real world communities, and how virtual politics model real world politics. There will come a time when high performance computing models will look more like real society than simple implementations of behavioral rule sets. Though Artificial Intelligence may be dead, artificial sociology isn't (you can quote me on that).
