Ambient techno je relexační forma techna. Tento styl není určen k tanci, proto se řadí spíše do downtempo elektroniky.
Je to „zředěný“, přeorientovaný Ambient house. Tento styl se skládá z minimalové rytmiky, atmosférických ambientních zvuků, hudebních vzorků a podružných melodií.
