Jad Fair je americký muzikant, kytarista, zpěvák a skladatel rockové skupiny Half Japanese. Je také hudební producent a mimo Half Japanese se aktivně zapojuje do mnoha dalších hudebních projektů. Spolupracoval s R. Steve Moore, Daniel Johnston, Mark Kramer, Steve Shelley & Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Teenage Fanclub, Yuri Landman, Jason Willett, Fred Frith, Moe Tucker a Yo La Tengo.
