Cyfranodd yn helaeth at osod sylfeini cyfraith ryngwladol ac athroniaeth wleidyddol. Ei waith enwocaf yw Droit des gens; ou, Principes de la loi naturelle appliqués à la conduite et aux affaires des nations et des souverains (Cymraeg: Cyfraith Cenhedloedd neu Egwyddorion Cyfraith Naturiol wedi'u Cymhwyso at Ymddygiad a Materion Cenhedloedd a Sofraniaid) a ysgrifennwyd ym 1758.
