O Συνέκδημος είναι γεωγραφικό κείμενο που αποδίδεται στον Ιεροκλή, το οποίο περιέχει έναν πίνακα διοικητικών διαιρέσεων της Βυζαντινής Αυτοκρατορίας και καταλόγους των πόλεών τους. Το έργο χρονολογείται κατά την βασιλεία του Ιουστινιανού αλλά πριν το 535, καθώς διαιρεί τις 912 αναφερόμενες πόλεις στην Αυτοκρατορία σε 64 Επαρχίες. Ο Συνέκδημος, μαζί με το έργο του Στέφανου του Βυζαντίου ήταν οι κύριες πηγές του έργου του Κωνσταντίνου Ζ΄ για τα Θέματα (De Thematibus).

Ο Συνέκδημος δημοσιεύθηκε σε διάφορες εκδόσεις μετά το 1735, κυρίως από τον Gustav Parthey (Hieroclis Synecdemus, Βερολίνο, 1866) και λίγο αργότερα σε ένα διορθωμένο κείμενο από τον A. Burckhardt στη σειρά Teubner[1]. Η πιο πρόσφατη σημαντική έκδοση ήταν από τον E. Honigmann (Le Synekdèmos d'Hiéroklès et l'opuscule géographique de Georges de Chypre, Βρυξέλλες, 1939).
