Ernest "Ernie" Brookes (first ¼ 1884[4] – July 1940[5][6]), also known by the nickname of "The Terrier", was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1900s, 1910s and 1920s. He played at representative level for Great Britain, England and Lancashire, and at club level for Warrington, as a wing, stand-off or scrum-half.[1]
