Esther Gitman

Esther Gitman (born September 20, 1939) is an American historian and expert on the Holocaust in Yugoslavia specifically on the Independent State of Croatia, a Nazi German puppet state.[1] Her works also cover the rescue of Croatian Jews by Aloysius Stepinac, the Italian 2nd Army, and the Yugoslav Partisans during the Second World War.
