Italiano: Il modello è' costituito da una base circolare fissa inscritta in una corona mobile, a sua volta collegata ad un albero di trasmissione verticale. Sull'albero è montata una struttura elicoidale rastremata verso l'alto, collegata tramite tiranti alla corona rotante della base
Questo modello interpreta uno studio di macchina volante disegnata da Leonardo, che avrebbe sfruttato la forma elicoidale della vite per alzarsi. Come Leonardo scrive nella nota che accompagna il disegno, la vite se "voltata con prestezza, si fa la femmina nell'aria e monterà in alto".
Quattro uomini avrebbero dovuto spingere, correndo sulla base, quattro sbarre collegate all'albero di trasmissione. La stuttura elicoidale si sarebbe così messa in moto, avvitandosi nell'aria. Leonardo intuisce e disegna un prototipo di elica, che non avrebbe potuto però funzionare visto il peso teorico della macchina e l'energia insufficiente prodotta dai quattro uomini.
