Français : Cet astrolabe authentique a été fabriqué en France en 1603. Il aurait été perdu lors de l'expédition de Champlain dans la région de l’Outaouais, en 1613.
English: This authentic astrolabe was made in France in 1603. It was reportedly lost during Champlain's expedition to the Outaouais region in 1613.
In August 1867, Edward George Lee, a teenager, accidentally discovered it in the ground under a felled tree near Green Lake, also known as Astrolabe Lake (across from Renfrew County, Ontario).
