DescriptionRichmond International Raceway from stands.jpg |
Richmond Speedway is a 3/4 mile track. This is the closest I could get to a landscape shot. I love the small tracks. I've been to the 2 1/2 mile Pocono but the small tracks are so much better. For 3/4 of a mile they can fit a lot of trucks in the infield. This was also something like the 32nd consecutive sellout. Outside the track is a neighborhood. People were letting fans park on their lawns for $20 a car. Some were even letting them use their bathroom. When it's not being used as a racetrack the city uses the parking lot for events like Italian Days and stuff like that. |
