Gadolinium(III) perchlorate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Gd(ClO4)3. It can be obtained by reacting gadolinium(III) oxide and perchloric acid (70~72%) at 80 °C.[1] It can form colorless Gd(ClO4)3·9H2O·4C4H8O2 complex crystals with 1,4-dioxane.[2] It reacts with inositol, sodium acetate, and sodium hydroxide to obtain complexes containing giant molecular clusters {Gd140}.[1] It reacts with chromium(III) chloride and 2,2'-bipyridine at pH=5.1 to obtain [GdCr(bipy)2(OH)2(H2O)6](ClO4)4·2H2O.[3]
