James H. Bray

James H. Bray (born February 12, 1954, in Pasadena, Texas) is a clinical and family psychologist and a past president of the American Psychological Association (APA). Bray is Professor and former Chair of the Department of Psychology at University of Texas San Antonio (2017-present). Previously he was an associate professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine (1987-2017). He is also Chairman of the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Houston College of Medicine (2023-2024).
