Matthew Carkner (born November 3, 1980) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who currently serves as the head coach and general manager of the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL. He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens 58th overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft and played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the San Jose Sharks, Ottawa Senators, and New York Islanders.
