Peter Alexander Beinart (/ˈbaɪnərt/; born February 28, 1971) is an American liberal[2] columnist, journalist, and political commentator.[3] A former editor of The New Republic, he has also written for Time, The New York Times, and The New York Review of Books among other periodicals. He is also the author of three books.
