Santa Rita, Corozal
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about the archaeological site which has been proposed as the location of the Postclassic Maya city of Chetumal. For the modern city in Mexico, see Chetumal. For the Postclassic Maya province, see Chetumal Province.
Santa Rita is a Maya ruin and an archaeological reserve on the outskirts of Corozal, Belize.[1] Historical evidence suggests that it was probably the ancient and important Maya city known as Chetumal.[2][3]
