Having just watched Along Came Polly, I'm not sure he is an actuary. Certainly the word is not used in the movie (he is referred to as a 'risk assesment expert'). Does anyone have any evidence that Ben Stiller's character is an actuary? See Fictional Actuaries cheersActuarial disco boy 20:43, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Reuben is not an actuary. He is identified by his boss as a risk assessment expert. He is later seen wearing a shirt which says "National Association Insurance Underwriters" and another that has NAIU. He is an underwriter. Life insurance underwriters assess individual risk, which is what Reuben does. Actuaries are concerned with population risk, and calculate such things as premiums and reserves. These are two different functions, and two different career paths. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmmhhm (talk • contribs) 01:45, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
Image:Alongcamepolly1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 17:44, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Hey Binksternet, just a quick question, even though it received negative reviews with a 27% on Rotten Tomatoes, why bother calling it mixed? It makes no sense at all and sometimes you make no sense at all when comes to Wikipedia's articles. Please, i just wanna know. 2601:196:4A01:D770:4304:3B67:DF69:1823 (talk) 16:06, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
