But as seen at the photo, Big Diomede is something like 3 times bigger than Little Diomede...
The Russian name for this island is Ratmanov (ru:Остров Ратманова) and not Big Diomede. 'Острова Диомида' (ru:Острова Диомида) means Diomede Islands. --Hardscarf (talk) 13:06, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
{{Infobox islands | name = Big Diomede | local name = {{lang-ru|остров Ратманова}} | native name = [[Inupiaq language|Inupiaq]] }}
In Big Diomede two fields are trequired in order to accomodate both the Russian name and the Inupiaq language name. See truncated infobox. Peter Horn User talk 03:04, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

There's a crashed plane on the island, visible on Google Maps here and here: 65.778313°N 169.066755°W. More information here. Source for my curiosity was Quora. HTH HAND Phil | Talk 14:20, 12 June 2017 (UTC)

Needs editing: 35km not 3.5 km swim from little island to big island. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.186.44.160 (talk) 06:01, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
