How do you like my changes to the intro? Mdotley 22:45, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Shouldn't the Fillon government/cabinet have a page of its own rather than be here?Thermaland 18:48, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
There's currently a disturbance at the current Canadian prime minister's article, Stephen Harper, regarding the inclusion of the head of state in the article's infobox, and, following that, on all previous Canadian prime ministers' articles; currently the Canadian series is the only one, as far as I can tell, where the relevant head of state is not listed in the infobox.
As this article, and all those for previous French prime ministers, list the head of state in the infobox, I'm wondering how the decision to do so was reached, and if this practice should or should not be the same for all PMs' articles. It seems odd to me that one series of PM articles would be different to all the rest.
Opinions are welcome; needed actually. The discussion is taking place at Talk:Stephen Harper#Infobox -- include GG and monarch?. --G2bambino 15:40, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Mr Fillon got married with a British citizen. Has Mrs Fillon forgotten her British citizenship following her marriage? Was Mr Fillon naturalized a British subject following his marriage? Is the current French Prime Minister both a French and British citizen (dual citizenship)? Gallagher 17:30, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't think it particularly matters. As Britain and France are members of the European Union, there is no real practical difference in him holding or not holding British citizenship. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.21.54.2 (talk) 14:48, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
In the French system of government, does a Prime Minister still represent his or her district? I see no mention of what district/riding Fillon represents in the Assembly. --Criticalthinker (talk) 10:53, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
No he does not. The deputy MP is acting on his behalf. Gallagher 06 82.251.215.112 (talk) 21:27, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
I disagree with Hollande's inclusion in the infobox, as well as "May 16th, 2012" for the end of Fillon's term. First, it is misleading as it gives the impression that Hollande and Fillon effectively worked together. Second, according to these 3 articles (in French, sorry), Fillon handed his resignation to Sarkozy on Mai 10th, 2012, with he and his government merely in charge of "dealing with the current affairs" until the 15th. On a side note, the French WP article lists May 10th as the end of his term. What do you think? AurélieM 12:33, 1 January 2014 (UTC) - P.S. Happy New Year!

This man was Prime Minister of a major country and is likely to become President of France. This article needs help! Usernamen1 (talk) 22:14, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
There have been numerous sources recently describing Fillon as economically Thatcherite, i.e. an adherent of such policies as espoused by Margaret Thatcher. This probably should be referenced at #Economy, budget and taxation, given the high number of sources (such as BloombergTelegraphTimesFrance 24Reuters, for just a handful) describing him as such. Given the results from a Google News search for "Fillon" AND "Thatcher" OR "Thatcherite", it all satisfies WP:WEIGHT in my view.--Nevé–selbert 19:25, 29 November 2016 (UTC)

Absolutelypuremilk, thanks for your edit here on Flllon (09:37), which indeed takes away the unclearness of the statement I removed at 09:02 o'clock. Nevertheless I'm still puzzled, now over the question why Economist (wants to) call him 'chums' with Putin. By that choice of word they obviously are mocking or tarring Fillon, Wikipedia should not copy such (hostile) addressing of Fillon. If Economist wants to assert that they are friends, they (or we at least) can choose the neutral word 'friend', but the Economist should also have to corroborate that rather surprising assertion. --Corriebertus (talk) 11:14, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
Corriebertus has now moved the "friends with Putin" comment into its own section "Criticism and insinuations". However, Fillon is described as being friendly with Putin in two reliable sources already in the article (FT and the Economist), as well as by Bloomberg and The New York Times. I will move the content back if no one else has any objections? Absolutelypuremilk (talk) 12:49, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

I propose that we should use picture attached below as the main picture of the article. The current one is from 2010 while this is from 2015.

I noticed that he was sentenced to prison today. He was convicted and everything. I saw information on the original allegations here, but why didn't anyone mention he went on trial?Arglebargle79 (talk) 18:05, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
