Is this page supposed to be about the geography of the Tibetan_Autonomous_Region or of historical Tibet? The article, after the first paragraph, discusses Tibet as being only the TAR, then deals with the geography of the whole region. As it stands it is very confusing. Sengge 04:19, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)

This is about ten times more references than the section warrants. All those footnote numbers seriously interfere with readability. Remember, we are writing for a lay audience, not for academics. Let's be kind to them! LADave (talk) 09:15, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Since the article now has more references (even if too many are still from one source), I removed the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica tag. Miniapolis (talk) 00:50, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
The article reads:
"and daytime temperatures ranging from around 7 °C (45 °F) in winter to 24 °C (75 °F) in summer – though nights are as much as 15 °C (27 °F) cooler"
"as much as 15 °C (27 °F) cooler"? Does it mean that usually nights are less cool, or even not cooler at all, and the lowest night-time temperatures are: 7-15 = -8°C in winter , and 24-15 = 9°C in summer? 85.193.252.19 (talk) 00:09, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
Should Everest be included in the list of peaks? Perhaps we can use the Tibetan name of Sagarmatha, or write it as "Sagarmatha (Mount Everest)." Has it been left off for a reason? —Zujine|talk 16:06, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
