Getting some practice in for the Developing Countries WikiContest. This should be fun! Averageuntitleduser (talk) 19:51, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
Lovely article! To begin:
Sebele's father had already allowed Anglicanism to be practiced by the Bakwena— forgive me if I am missing something, but how did this anger the London Missionary Society? Being an interdenominational.. misionnary organization.. it seems to check out.
over the protectorate— perhaps the full "Bechuanaland Protectorate".
Upon returning to Ntsweng,— perhaps move this to the end of the sentence to avoid "Ntsweng" seeming like part of the list.
but Moruakgomo remained a pretender— this is a pretty passive first mention, perhaps something along the lines of: "which Moruakgomo contradicted, as he had become a prentender".
Thoroughly sourced to reliable sources. We appear to be dealing with prominent authors and publishers, as well as peer-reviewed journals. No issues with close paraphrasing were found during the spot-check.
General Google searching show results with sparse coverage. Having looked around some scholarly databases (Springer, Taylor & Francis, Google Scholar, JSTOR), I feel confident that this article covers all the bases. At first, I thought the article was missing The Birth of Botswana: A History of the Bechuanaland Protectorate from 1910 to 1966, but looking at the authors, it most definitely seems to have been repurposed for the Historical Dictionary of Botswana. Looks good.
No issues; his controversy among the London Missionary Society and advisors is well-balanced with his popularity among the community.
No recent content disputes or edit wars.
Looks good. Only one image is used, the infobox portrait, which seems to have a reasonable FUR.
Courtesy ping, @Thebiguglyalien: good work on the article! I'll get on with the spot-check. Averageuntitleduser (talk) 00:36, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
