Because Iberian Jews, and also Muslims, were expelled, forced to convert, or killed at the beginning of this so-called "Golden Age", this article should discuss how it was not "Golden" everybody. I'm no expert, but I'm sure that there a lot has been written about the simultaneous rise of the Inquisition and the artistic flourishing. It is well documented that many of the persecuted emigrated to parts of Latin America where the Inquisition was less influential; I surmise that sources also exist about artistic flourishing among these escapees to Latin America.
