Thaiyur is a village located in Chengalpattu district, Tamil Nadu, India, about 31.46 kilometres (19.55 mi) from Chennai. This is primarily an agricultural village. It is also famous for the salt production. An engineering college Shree Motilal Kanhaiyalal Fomra Institute of Technology is situated in this village.
