Transverse leaf spring is a type of automobile suspension arrangement which uses a leaf springs (either as a set or with a single spring per axle) running parallel with the axle to absorb impact. This arrangement has been used on a variety of vehicles, but most notably on GMs Chevrolet Corvette, where it has become an important part of the vehicles engineering heritage.
