I've started the good article review for Saint Lucia at the 2008 Summer Olympics. There don't appear to be many major issues with it, and it should pass relatively easily. If you make suggested changes and I don't pass it right away, it is because I am going out of town tomorrow. --LauraHale (talk) 00:30, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
I completed the review at Talk:Netherlands Antilles at the 2008 Summer Olympics/GA1. It should hopefully take no more than five to ten minutes to see and do what needs fixing. :) --LauraHale (talk) 03:34, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
The article Saint Kitts and Nevis at the 2008 Summer Olympics you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Saint Kitts and Nevis at the 2008 Summer Olympics for things which need to be addressed. On 12 December 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Netherlands Antilles at the 2008 Summer Olympics, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Dutch Antillean sprinter Churandy Martina would have won silver at the 2008 Summer Olympics if he had not been disqualified? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Netherlands Antilles at the 2008 Summer Olympics. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
Some of the criticisms at this talkpage are crazy. Do you know any actual scientists that can rebutt the nonsense. 24.79.40.48 (talk) 03:28, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
The Bolton Landing article should have some reference to sculptor David Smith, who lived and worked there.

Hi. When you recently edited Richlands High School (North Carolina), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Swimming, Cross country and AVID (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I noticed that the 2010 population given for the town of Batavia (town), New York is much smaller than that given for the city of Batavia (city), New York, even though the city is located within the town. I assume this means that the town population is only those who are not within a city within the town. But I don't see this made explicit in the definition at Town, and it runs counter to my expectations, but then I'm from a part of the country (Washington state) where towns in this sense are non-existent or at most vestigial units. --Haruo (talk) 23:09, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

On 20 May 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Antigua and Barbuda at the 2008 Summer Olympics, which you created or substantially expanded. Hello! My name is Dom497 and I have reviewed the Vanuatu at the 2008 Summer Olympics article that you nominated for GA status. Unfortunately, the article is just a tad away from GA status and I have left 2 suggestions on the review page for you to fix. Once the issues are fixed, I will pass the article. The review can be found here. If you have any questions please leave a message on my talk page.--Dom497 (talk) 00:43, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm going to make this short and sweet. Find a few images, remove all the links to articles that don't exist and change the wording of a sentance that I have mentioned here. Once these issues are fixed, I will pass the article. (The article is on hold for 7 days)--Dom497 (talk) 20:45, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
Please take a look at the review page as I have added another suggestion.--Dom497 (talk) 18:56, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

Hello Starstriker7!
I believe you are the Wikipedia article creator for the Braidwood, IL Wikipedia article. Is is possible to create a small section about the public library here in town?
Just an idea and a quick question! Thanks for any response!

Then you should have only partially reverted it. The background history is not needed on each article as there is an article about X in the Summer Olympics, we could "see also" that if need be.Lihaas (talk) 20:24, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:WHS Wildcat Rocklin Logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:03, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
Hello, you are receiving this message because you are currently a participant of WikiProject Good articles. Since the creation of the WikiProject, over 200 user's have joined to help review good article nominations and contribute to other sections of the WikiProject. Over the years, several of these users have stopped reviewing articles and/or have become inactive with the project but are still listed as participates. In order to improve communications with other participants and get newsletters sent out faster (newsletters will begin to be sent out monthly starting in October) all participants that are no longer active with the WikiProject will be removed from the participants list.
If you are still interested in being a participant for this WikiProject, please sign your user name here and please help review some articles so we can reduce the size of the backlog. If you are no longer interested, you do not need to sign your name anywhere and your name will be removed from the participants list after the deadline. Remember that even if you are not interested at this time, you can always re-add your name to the list whenever you want. The deadline to sign your name on the page above will be November 1, 2012. Thank-you. 13:34, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
Sorry for having to send out a second message but a user has brought to my attention that a point mentioned in the first message should be clarified. If user's don't sign on this page, they will be moved to an "Inactive Participants" list rather then be being removed from the entire WikiProject. Sorry for any confusion.--Dom497 (talk)15:24, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
