Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 14:50, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Welcome to the WikiProject Firearms. I hope you enjoy being a member.--LWF (talk) 01:16, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
I had noticed you created an article on the Colt M1892. Doing some research on the .38 revolvers used by the US military at the end of the 1800's - beginning of the 1900's, it looks like the Colt M1889 was adopted by the navy, then the army and spawned numerous variations (one of the variants being the 1892). Would you object to moving it to Colt M1889? --Phil1988 (talk) 06:19, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Nope i supose it would make sense to keep them together so ok. Tsange (talk)
Hi, I noticed you were adding infoboxes to some articles on firearms companies. Thanks for helping out on the firearms work! However, I wanted to make a suggestion. I noticed that you seem to be putting multiple blank lines before the start of articles- while I don't know of a guideline that specifically discourages this practice, WP:LAY comes close, and looking at any featured article, one can see that it simply isn't done. Just thought I'd give you a heads up! Thanks for your contributions! —/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 05:36, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for noticing this, I must have done this by accident because when i add a infox i always forget to remove white spaces. I will fix them now. Tsange (talk)
Thanks for uploading File:A. Uberti logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:05, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for uploading File:College site 1877.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Stifle (talk) 14:35, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading File:College site 1877.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 13:18, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

The bridges between Runcorn and Widnes cross the River Mersey but they are not in the metropolitan county of Merseyside; rather they are in the borough of Halton, part of the ceremonial county of Cheshire. I have therefore removed the WikiProject Merseyside tags from the talk pages of the articles. Peter I. Vardy (talk) 09:04, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi Tsange, hope you're OK. When I joined Wikipedia last year another user was kind enough to provide me with a blank template for formatting references. I noticed that when you added the stuff about the ODEON cinema to the Liverpool One article you didn't format the references, so I thought it was now time for me to pass the favour on to someone else and I've copied the blank template here for you:
All you need to do is fill in what information you can and wiki does the rest. I apologise in advance if you do normally format the references but just forgot on that article. Cheers and happy editing! --Daviessimo (talk) 14:24, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Although references are essential it is also important that they come from reliable sources. Unfortunately, many of those you added to the Grand National cannot be considered as such. These include fan sites and betting tips and guide sites, which could reasonably be considered spam. Thanks. wjematherbigissue 21:31, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for having a go at assessing this article. Actually the definition of a stub is an article containing only a few sentences of text which is too short to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject, but not so short as to provide no useful information. This article is more than that; it is IMO more than a "start" because it is better referenced than many (most) of the articles on WP. Hope you don't mind my reassessment as C. Cheers. Peter I. Vardy (talk) 21:14, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Hey there, just thought I drop over and provide you with a link to a good article on the Met Cathedral, which talks about the problems with the building post construction (it is dated 1994 but talks about earlier issues including a lawsuit that was brought against the developers). Its not that big, but its a good reference point for researching further on the internet. Also just to let you know it may be worth adding a 'background' section that deals with why such a grand cathedral was built in Liverpool in the first place. It can talk about the creation of the archdiocese in the mid-19th century and also the large Catholic population post-Irish potato famine. --Daviessimo (talk) 15:01, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Hello Tsange, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to How to Fish has been removed. It was removed by Uncle G with the following edit summary '(Reverted vandalism to last good version by JL-Bot.)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with Uncle G before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. Hi, I see that you have dealt with a number of the issues I raised during the GA for the above article, but there are still a number of outstanding problems that need to be addressed before the article is promoted.--Jackyd101 (talk) 15:20, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
I appreciate that you are acting in good faith, but it is best if featured articles are nominated by people who have worked closely on them. In this way, they can give reasoned replies to reviewers and be familiar enough with the sources to act on suggested improvements. Someone who has not worked on the article can not provide this input, so the nomination may continue until opposition to it becomes so overwhelming that the article is failed; this takes away time from reviewers. While the King's Regiment (Liverpool) article is of reasonable quality, it is not yet of featured quality, and principal contributors must be consulted before a nomination, as required in the featured article candidate instructions.
SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:28, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
When you put the Prod template on Gail King it automatically put the notice on on the talk page of The Fat Man Who Never Came Back (talk · contribs), he created the page as a redirect to Gayle King (Oprah's friend). You should have also notified Theamesmom (talk · contribs), whom had changed it to the article about the Ms Senior America winner. I removed the Prod template, and added a reference, if you want to move forward with deletion you will have to take it to AfD. --kelapstick (talk) 16:57, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the edits you have made to this article, and particularly for adding the link to the Liverpool City Council website which I had overlooked. From this website I have made a couple of additions to the article, and I've removed it from the External links because there is now a reference to it in the body of the article. I also unlinked the second reference to James Wyatt, as this is already linked earlier.
You will have noticed that I have nominated the article as a GAN. Having managed to get a few articles accepted as GAs for the WikiProject Cheshire I thought it was about time I did something similar for Merseyside. I think the article satisfies most of the GA criteria - time will tell if it does. I think it has enough images to illustrate it without cluttering, but it would be good to get better photos of both the south and north faces if any are available for free use as replacements for those currently in the article. Keep up the good work you are doing for the Merseyside WikiProject. Peter I. Vardy (talk) 14:03, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

to your talk page.Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

Hi Tsange, I noticed that you added a note to my Liverpool gay quarter article which read "This section does not cite any references or sources. Please help improve this article by adding citations to reliable sources. Unsourced material may be challenged and removed. (February 2011)" under the section "Notable LGBT people from Liverpool and Merseyside" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liverpool_gay_quarter
I don't see the need to add any sources. All the people mentioned are openly gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender and all one has to do is visit their individual wikipedia page where references are cited there. This isn't 1950, these people are well known and openly gay and it seems un-necessary to quote sources at every conceivable opportunity. I would appreciate if you could remove the note. Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Richie wright1980 (talk • contribs) 21:11, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Hey, would just like to say great work on your work you've done on the 'University of Bradford' page, particularly the logo (where I found your username. However, I would be interested to know if you could upload the University coat of arms in it's place and instead have the logo underneath. Preferably in the same way as the 'University of Leeds' page. I look forward to hearing a response from you. David25892 (talk) 20:47, 3 August 2011 (UTC) |

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Esprit d'amour, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Raymond Wong (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi, can you please do the following things to Esprit d'amour article.
Hi, Would you please mind addressing this issue on Kung Fu Hustle article.
Yuen managed to take seemingly outdated wuxia fighting styles like the Deadly Melody and Buddhist Palm and recreate them on the screen with his own imagination" -- This perhaps verges on opinion, with the strong implication that Yuen succeeded at something difficult. "recreate them on the screen with his own imagination" is also so vague that it could simply be cut. I'd suggest either attributing this in-text, or rewrite it more neutrally, e.g., "In his choreography, Yuen drew on seemingly outdated wuxia fighting styles like the Deadly Melody and Buddhist Palm.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:47, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to!
