I doubt this one will ever reach FA status, as I've seen some comments in the past about it being too silly a topic to even merit inclusion in the encyclopedia (when I first saw it, it had been nominated for deletion). I agree that the layout needs work - at least a fair use or public domain picture of a pizza delivery guy on the job! BD2412 T 03:39, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi, I am glad to have been able to help you out. It seems to me though that the user that vandalized your userpage is rather new and doesn't really seem to understand the rules and customs of wikipedia. So I'm not really sure if it was a malicious vandal, or a confused and angry newbie. Either way I have posted some comments on their talk page and I hope they will read them this time rather than just revert them again. :) Now all we need is to make a sweet counter for userpages and have it increment everytime it gets vandalized. -- malo (talk)/(contribs) 08:48, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
Thank you very much for your support of my RfA. Thanks, in part, to you, I am now an Administrator, and I pledge to use my newfound powers for good rather than evil. Thanks again!--Sean|Black 08:11, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
Ahoy. Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been offline for a bit. J moss was an obvious copyvio (which someone else seems to have deleted). I tagged that and Brijbrij before gaining adminship and then promptly forgot about it. As for Brijbrij, I could not find a source, but it just screams copyvio - though closer inspection makes it seem like some students' school paper, an unencyclopedic essay with a nonsense title. The article itself is not nonsense, and it is not copyvio if the student uploaded it himself. The only safe direction is AfD, which I have initiated. Thanks for the heads-up. --Jeffrey O. As one of the revert warriors in question, I'd like to point you here where the basic points of contention are listed by me. It should be quite clear that these have remained unanswered by the other side. There is not much doubt that IIPM is a controversial institute with some highly questionable advertising claims. Lots of Mainstream newspapers have written about the controversy that erupted recently. There is no reason to privilege the institute's claims about its infrastructure, faculty etc. over the claims of its detractors, as the supporters of IIPM have been demanding. They want to move all criticism to a separate section. ---Ravikiran 08:16, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for showing your support at my current RfA. I don't read cyrillic, but at least I now know what your name means, at the very least! I wanted to thank people earlier, but I wasn't sure if it was appropriate while the RfA is still running. I finally decided to do what I think is right, regardless of normal protocol, so here is a note, to show you my appreciation for your support and comments. Anything I can ever do to help you, if I can, I will. Thanks again! Hamster Sandwich 15:12, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Hi-Point Firearms, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page. |
Hi,
PeaSea 02:06, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Vilerage,
PLease see the IIPM article's talk page, where I had asked Konrad West to mediate as a neutral observer, because I was tired of the revert war played by these 3... Konrad has made observations thats are in keeping with Wiki policy, and he has found the allegations in the article biased, and based on personal blogs that cannot be cited. PeaSea, Ravikiran and Spartiate keep reverting edits, and they do not want to see any properly cited new information get added to the article. In fact, they only want to see negative info go on IIPM's Wiki.
Hope you review Konrads comment on the IIPM talk page and review the article - would appreciate you input.
Best

I noticed that you warned 67.20.91.90 (talk · contribs) for vandalism. However, after checking this user's edits, I noticed that he/she wasn't trying to vandalize. As a matter of fact, this user was trying to clean up the penis images (from the George W. Bush article) that someone else added. Hovever, this user appears to be pretty new to Wikipedia, so he/she might not have known how to revert a page properly. --Ixfd64 04:55, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

why the revert?
i moved the judges to a list because wikipedia isn't a list site, and the list could well be linked to elsewhere.
it also cleans up the page and shows just how much more work needs to be done on the article; i was just about to place a {{Law-stub}} tag in there... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yoasif (talk • contribs)

Hi Vilerage/archive2,
Thank you very much for your support on my RfA. It has done very well and is currently at 67/0/2. As such, I am posting this in advance of its closure. If I can ever help with anything or if you have any comments about my actions as an admin, please let me know. Thank you once again! – NSLE (T+C+CVU) 06:44, 8 December 2005 (UTC)(Yep, another one of these :-) Thanks for voting to support my RfA. I wasn't expecting an unopposed promotion (I thought I'd hit some die-hard edit-counters at least) and I'm touched by the trust shown in me. I'll try my best to continue to earn that trust. But first, I'll have to work on not sounding like a politician; that last sentence was awful. Oh well. Let me know when I screw something up with the shiny new buttons. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 05:37, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
I would like to thank you for your support of my recent successful RfA. If you have any further comments or feedback for me, my door's open - don't hesistate to drop a note on my talk page. Happy editing! Enochlau 11:12, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
Hello Vilerage,
Now that my RfA is fully and officially completed, I want to thank you for your support. I appreciate your confidence that I can do the job. -- SCZenz 18:17, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
I have recently been granted greater access to your systems, and can begin the process of salvaging the sensitive information from my politically unstable land, as I promised. Please accept this loonie as a token of faith that I will conduct myself as required to complete our transaction. Thank you for your support. Mindmatrix 20:20, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
Hello Vilerage. Thanks for the 2am Caffiene-induced vote of confidence in my RFA . I have now officially received the badge, so I shall try my best to be a good administrator. Thanks again. --TheParanoidOne 21:06, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my page. --Nlu (talk) 05:16, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
Thank you, Vilerage, for your support in my RfA - I'll do my best as an admin to make the reality of Wikipedia rise to the level of the dream. And I'll keep an eye on pizza delivery, too! bd2412 T 01:51, 8 December 2005 (UTC) <--note new "admin gold" sig :-D
If you add <noinclude> to templates, please make shure not to insert a newline between the last char of the template code and the opening <noinclude> (they must reside on the same line). I've fixed some of your recent template edits. Thanks! – Adrian | Talk 22:21, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Matt, thanks for your support on my RfA. The final count was 46/0/0. I hope I'll live up to your faith in me in my use of the mop and bucket. Please accept this wikithanks as a token of my gratitude ;) Hope your search for a new sig goes well! --bainer (talk) 23:59, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Dear Vilerage,
I would like to thank you for supporting me on my RfA. Even though it failed with a with the final tally of 55/22/6, I want to thank you anyways. I don't want to be one a admin anymore until I reach 10,000 edits now that it's over with. Thanks --Jaranda wat's sup 01:56, 9 December 2005 (UTC)Yeah, you know you do. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FuRiOuS1 (talk • contribs)
Is it proper to revert potential vandalism following this pattern The Potential vandal adds the up for deletation message onto a userpage.
It is clear that the user page is legit.

Vilerage:
Just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks for supporting me in my recent RFA. Not only was I not hanged, I managed to squeak by with a final tally of 46/13/2. The vast expanse of adminship looms before me, and I'll do my best not to screw up Wikipedia.
All the best.

Vilerage, you are a RfA machine! Just look at all those thank-you's above!
Regarding my own potential RfA, I've made my final decision, to politely decline the nomination at this point. I am concerned that other users would make the (legitimate) complaint that I have not yet seen enough "serious" activity on the wiki, since the vast majority of my edits have been since mid-September. If you still think I merit such a gesture, I would be thrilled with the possibility of accepting another nomination in the new year. Thanks again for your support and faith - cheers. --PeruvianLlama(spit) 08:52, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for your support on my request for adminship; it passed with 23/0/0 (plus one duplicate support and an oppose from a vandal IP). I'll do my best to make your support reason true. ;) // Pathoschild 09:39, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
I know thats usually the way to do things, but 1. I made the article 2. I was its only editor 3. Its blatantly incorrect and I wish it to be gone. This particular result of my poor research shouldn't be subject to AFD. sooo yeah. I'm gonna re-add the speedy tag EDIT: Ah! never mind it is already gone.TastemyHouse Breathe, Breathe in the air 11:00, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
Please note I have removed an old suggestion to trash wiki from my own forums.
Please do not keep mentioning that. It is gone.
Please do not call THIS message vandalism.
Thanks,

Hi Vilerage,
VfD isn't about just amassing a 50% or more votes for certain decisions, it's more of getting the community to come to a rough consensus. In this case, delete votes make up 65%, and I've seen cases where 75% are closed as 'no consensus'. I also see that a few suggesting to projectify this page, which means the page may be heading for a encyclopedic direction.
Let me know if you need any further clarifications. :)
- Cheers, Mailer Diablo 05:53, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
BTW - you said on user talk:Scott Burley, "A few of us don't think this is entirely correct, and would appreciate it if you'd take a look ;]" If there's anyone getting real pissed off at this one surviving, please do point them at the current state of the article - I really didn't have time during the AFD period, hence begging to at least projectify it. See also its talk page, where I outline how to bring it up to something of great use to an interested researcher - David Gerard 15:40, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

Hi Vilerage (Rage or Matt), thank you for voting in support of my RFA; the result was (28-0-0 ). I hope that I am able to fulfil the expectations of an admin. If you see me mess up anywhere, have any concerns, please don't hesitate to tell me! Take care. SoLando (Talk) 11:03, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
Many thanks for your support during my RfA – following a 30/0/0 vote I’ve now been made an admin. Do have a Jaffa Cake! Cheers, CLW 13:53, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
I blocked this anon for 3 hours for his blanking evangelicalism and fundamentalist christianity. There really is no need to warn such users. The likelihood of them not continuing their vandalism is slim. freestylefrappe 21:56, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
Please note I do not ask my forum people to trash wiki. I removed that item 8 days ago.
I am trying to work thru the system here.
Bravos for getting rid of genuine vandals.
beckjordBeckjord 08:42, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
To tell the truth, it's the first RFC I've had any real involvement in, too, so I don't know where to add it either! My own feeling is your evidence isn't needed at this point: freestylefrappe has clearly indicated, in his discussions with SCZenz, that that was how he felt about handling things he deemed vandalism. I hope he is starting to see that the approach he has used up until now is not considered acceptable. Karmafist might feel differently regarding the diff; I'll leave it up to him. Thanks for the information! —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 03:38, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
I think that you should be informed that you are on the Black List. I wouldn't worry or anything if I were you, just conceal any personal information he doesn't have about you. No need to make things easy for banned users. Izehar (talk) 18:36, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
