Vân Đồn (listenⓘ) is a rural district of Quảng Ninh province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 39,157.[2] The district covers an area of 551 km². The district capital lies at Cái Rồng.[2] The district is selected as a Special Economic Zone, and is rapidly being developed. It is connected by motorway to Hai Phong and Ha Long, and served by Van Don International Airport.[3]
