William Lawson (14 March 1772 – 25 August 1848) was a Nova Scotian businessman, office holder, justice of the peace, and politician. He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and was the son of John Lawson and Sarah Shatford (who are both buried in the Old Burying Ground).
