2016–17 Slovenian Second League

The 2016–17 Slovenian Second League season was the 26th edition of the Slovenian Second League. The season began on 7 August 2016 and ended on 27 May 2017.^[1]

1. NK Veržej was spared from relegation due to insufficient number of teams.
2. NK Zavrč withdrew from the competition after round 12.^[3] Only the results from the first 9 rounds count towards the table.^[4] They were relegated to the lowest league and banned from promotion to the Slovenian Third League until the 2019–20 season.^[5]
