Format and seeding
The 2023 tournament was an eight team double-elimination tournament. The top eight teams, based on conference regular season winning percentage, earned invites to the tournament. The tournament used a 3-2-3-2-4-1 format in terms of games played per day with competition beginning one day earlier than in past years to allow for flexibility in case of inclement weather.[3]
