Abu'l-Ala Ganjavi (Persian: ابوالعلا گنجوی)[1] or Abul'alā-ye Ganje'i (Persian: ابوالعلای گنجهای, lit. 'Abul'alā of Ganja') was a Persian[2] poet of the 12th century at the court of the Shirvanshahs.[3] He is also known as the "Master of Poets"[4] (استاد الشعرا Ostād osh-Sho'arā),[3] for he became the master in poetry of Khaqani, introducing him to the court of Khaqan Manuchehr Shirvanshah,[5] as well as of Falaki.[3]
