Synthesis
AcOBr can be synthesized by reacting AcBr3 with a mixture of NH3 and H2O at 500 °C.[3][4]
- AcBr3 + 2NH3 + H2O → AcOBr + 2NH4Br
Physical properties
The compound forms white crystals of tetragonal system, space group P4/nmm.[5]
