Aegilops mutica is a species of flowering plant in the family Poaceae.[3] It is native to Turkey and the Transcaucasus.[2] An annual, it is found in grasslands in only 9 to 10 stations at elevations from 600 to 1,250 m (2,000 to 4,100 ft).[1] Under its synonym Amblyopyrum muticum it has been assessed as Endangered.[1] It bears the T genome, of interest to students of wild relatives of wheat.[3]
