Awaran is an administrative subdivision, (tehsil) of Awaran District in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. It is administratively subdivided into 2 Union Councils.[3] The economy largely depends on subsistence agriculture and livestock rearing.

Population
According to the 2023 Census of Pakistan, Awaran Tehsil has a total population of 45,774. Of this population, 28,780 individuals (approximately 62.87%) reside in urban areas, while 16,994 individuals (approximately 37.13%) live in rural areas.[5]
The tehsil covers an area of 13,075 square kilometers, resulting in a low population density of about 3.5 people per square kilometer.[5]
