BUS (band)

BUS because of you I shine (Thai: บัส บีคอสออฟยูไอชายน์) is a Thai boy band and the first artist group signed by Sonray Music Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Tada Entertainment Co., Ltd. It consists of twelve members from the show 789 Survival.^[1] Members include Alan, Marckris, Khunpol, Heart, Jinwook, Thai, Nex, Phutatchai, Copper, AA, Jungt, and Peemwasu.

The full name of the band is "Because of you I shine", expressing gratitude from the members to their fans.^[2] The fandom or fan club is called BEUS, which comes from "BE" with "US", which is a combination of BE and US, meaning that they want fans to be with the band members.^[3]

History

Winner of 789 Survival

The members of the band are winners of 789 Survival, a show that selects 24 trainee artists and competes through 6 missions, airing on One 31 in 2023. Originally, the programme required 7, 8, or 9 band members. On August 11, after the final mission, nine initial cast members were announced, selected by viewer votes, self-election, and by the producer, Songyos Sugmakanan. The three band members who received the most votes from fans were Marckris, Copper, and AA, respectively. The other 6 contestants, who were selected by their friends, were Phoo, Khunpol, Heart, Pheem, Alan, and Next, respectively. However, since the first two selections had already made it to nine members, Songyos eventually announced that he would debut a new group of 12 artists, with Jang, Thai, and Jin-wook chosen by the producers.^[4] A contract signing ceremony took place on August 12.^[5]
