Saget cast himself as the patriarch of a family with a teen troubled by drug addiction.[4] The cast includes Rob Corddry, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kevin Pollak, Peri Gilpin, Dave Foley, Cheri Oteri, Max Burkholder, Clara Mamet, David Hull, Jonny Weston, and James Preston Rogers.
Saget said there are parallels between Bob Johnson, the father he portrays in Benjamin and Danny Tanner, the character he played on Full House and Fuller House.[5][6] The film premiered at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in 2018.[7]
