Bigyromonada is a recently proposed non-photosynthetic subphylum of stramenopiles that at present contains two classes[2][3][4] and with uncertain monophyly.[2][5][6][7][8]

Description
Bigyromonads are characterized by biciliate cells that feed on bacteria through phagotrophy. They are marine organisms.[2]
