Orocrambus simplex

Orocrambus simplex is a moth in the family Crambidae.^[1] It was described by Arthur Gardiner Butler in 1877.^[2][3] It is endemic to New Zealand,^[4] where it has been recorded in Westland, Nelson Province, the central part of the North Island and the coastal area of southern Hawkes Bay.^[5] The habitat where this species lives consists of tussock grasslands.^[5]

The wingspan is 25–33 mm.^[5] Adults have been recorded on wing from November to February.^[5]

Larvae have been reared from Chionochloa rubra, Poa cita (formerly Poa caespitosa) and Poa annua.^[6]
