  • Cronides, an epithet of Zeus because he is the son of Cronus.
  • Saint Cronides of Alexandria, a deacon in Alexandria, was martyred along with his students Leontius and Serapion for being Christians; all three were later recognized as saints.
  • Saint Cronides, a court official, converted to Christianity after witnessing the faith of Philetus (martyr) and his family, and was imprisoned with them.
