The Dhaka First Division Football League (1993–2006) was the second tier football league in Bangladesh which was administered by the Bangladesh Football Federation. In 2007, with the introduction of Bangladesh's first professional national football league, the Bangladesh Premier League/B.League, the First Division League was merged to the Dhaka Premier Division Football League, which was re-introduced as the new second-tier, the Dhaka Senior Division Football League (currently the 3rd-tier).[1][2]

Overview
From 1948 to 1992, the Dhaka First Division Football League served as the top-tier football league of Dhaka and Bangladesh. Upon the creation of the Dhaka Premier Division Football League in 1993, the First Division served as the second-tier to the Premier Division which would in turn function as the top-tier football league of Dhaka and Bangladesh until the introduction of the Bangladesh Premier League/B.League in 2007.
