Isabelle Freidheim is an American entrepreneur and venture capitalist. She is the founder and managing partner of Athena Capital and is best known for her role as chairwoman of Athena Technology Acquisition Corp., which became the first SPAC led entirely by women to go public.

Career

Freidheim began her career in venture capital and private equity, focusing on investments in early-stage technology companies. She later founded Athena Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in innovative and high-growth startups, particularly those led by underrepresented founders.[1]

In 2021, Freidheim became the chairwoman of Athena Technology Acquisition Corp., a SPAC focused on merging with companies in the technology industry. The company gained national attention for being the first SPAC to go public with an all-women board and executive team.[2][3] She subsequently served as chairwoman of Athena Technology Acquisition Corp. II, which followed a similar mission of supporting innovation and female leadership in tech.[4]

Freidheim is also a co-founder of Magnifi, an artificial intelligence-driven investing platform designed to simplify financial research for individual investors.[5]

In 2022, she launched Athena Consumer Acquisition Corp., another SPAC focused on the consumer technology sector, maintaining an all-female leadership team.[6]
