Bachelet trained at Raymond Blanc's two Michelin-starred restaurant, Le Manoir, in Oxfordshire.[5] but continued to support himself through other work (e.g., as a "retail assistant" or "retail temp").[1][2] He then applied to and competed in the fifteenth series of The Great British Bake Off, at age 20, at the end of November 2024, and finished as a runner-up, behind Welsh series winner, Georgie Grasso.[5][6][7] In the month following, the MP for Aylesbury, England, Laura Kyrke-Smith, offered congratulations to Bachelet in a question to the Leader of the House of Commons, MP Lucy Powell.[8][relevant?] Of the various contestants, Bachelet has received significant media attention in England and the United States, for reasons including his age, appearance, and sense of style.[4][1][5][3][9][10][original research?]

Thereafter, Bachelet was recruited, while still age 20, to be a chef de partie at the Michelin-starred Five Fields in Chelsea, London.[11][9][10]
