Erbium disilicide

Erbium disilicide is a binary inorganic compound of erbium and silicon with the chemical formula ErSi₂.^[1][2] Other erbium silicides (ErSi, Er₂Si) are known.^[3]

ErSi₂ forms dark grey crystals of orthorhombic system.^[2] Space group P6/mmm.^[4]

Uses

The compound has been investigated as for semiconductor use, optoelectronics, high-temperature electronics, alloy additives and protective coatings.^[5]
