Fantasy Island is a resort theme park located in Ingoldmells on the east coast of Lincolnshire.
Fantasy Island first opened in 1995.[1][2] On 11 April 2004, a fatal bus crash killed five pedestrians and injured six more outside the resort entrance.[3] The park went into administration in 2014 and was purchased by the Mellors Group for an undisclosed sum in 2016.[2] It officially reopened on 12 April 2021, announcing several new attractions for the 2021 season.[4] The three main rides added by the Mellors Group were called Starflyer, Magic, and Firebowl.[5] In September 2023, a ride known as the Volcano was evacuated due to a technical malfunction.[6][7]
In 2024, the website Outdoor Toys listed Fantasy Island among the top 10 theme parks for children in the United Kingdom.[8] The resort includes rides and what it claims to be "Europe's largest seven-day market".[2]
