Galaxy Films is a prominent Indian film production and distribution company based in Thrissur, Kerala. Established in 1997 by Milan Jaleel,[1] the company made its debut with the film Kalyanappittannu (1997). Since then, Galaxy Films has produced more than 20 Malayalam films, featuring some of the biggest stars in the industry, including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Dileep, and Jayaram.
Over the years, Galaxy Films has grown into one of the leading production houses in Malayalam cinema, delivering several major box-office successes such as Chandranudikkunna Dikhil (1999), Kunjikoonan (2002), Yathrakarude Sradhakku (2002), Thuruppu Gulan (2006), Happy Husbands (2010), Run Baby Run (2012), and Fireman (2015).

History
Galaxy Films was founded by Milan Jaleel[2] with the production of Kalyanappittannu (1997), a family comedy-drama starring Dileep and Mukesh in the lead roles. The film was a moderate success and well-received by family audiences.
The company’s first major breakthrough came in 1999 with Chandranudikkunna Dikhil,[3] starring Dileep, Kavya Madhavan, and Samyuktha Varma, and The film was directed by Lal Jose, which was his second directorial venture. The film’s music, composed by Vidyasagar, became a massive hit, with all the songs achieving cult status and continuing to enjoy popularity even today.

Starring Jayaram, Soundarya (in her Malayalam debut), the film was also a commercial success. In 2006, Galaxy Films released Thuruppu Gulan, a mass entertainer directed by Johny Antony. It marked the company’s first collaboration with Malayalam cinema’s megastar Mammootty. The film, released on April 14, 2006, to coincide with the Vishu festival, went on to become a major blockbuster.
