Geotab was founded in 2000 by Neil Cawse, the CEO of the company.[citation needed] As of 2023, the company’s products have over 4 million subscriptions.[1]
Geotab’s core product lines are the GO device and MyGeotab software as a service (SaaS) platform.[citation needed]
History
In 2000, CEO Neil Cawse established Geotab Canada in Oakville, Ontario.[citation needed] In 2012, Sprint signed as a partner,[2][citation needed] and Geotab launched its fleet management software, MyGeotab.[citation needed] In 2015, Geotab launched their Marketplace[3] and acquired Strategic Telecom Solutions.[citation needed] In 2017, the US Department of Homeland Security issued a blanket purchase agreement to Geotab.[4] In 2018, Geotab reached 1 million subscribers,[5] and acquired FleetCarma[6] and Intendia.[7] In 2019, Geotab acquired BSM Technologies[citation needed] and expanded its offices internationally to China, Australia, Italy and France.[citation needed] In 2020, the U.S. Air Force awards Geotab sole-source contract for its 21,000 vehicles.[8]
Geotab was ranked the leading Commercial Telematics provider in the world in 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023 by ABI Research.[citation needed] In 2023, Geotab received the “Best Commercial Vehicle Innovator” award from Canadian Business magazine.[9]
Geotab has been included in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list in North America eight times.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17]
